Introducing Our New Safety Director

Join us in Welcoming Jim Cosgrave to the Rusin Team

Rusin is proud to welcome our new Safety Director, Jim Cosgrave. Born in Albany, New York, Jim served as a 12B Combat Engineer E-4 Specialist in the US Army from 1990 to 1998 and served as a volunteer firefighter in New York and Colorado for six years.

Jim has over 22 years of experience in the safety resource industry for self-performed concrete trades and has worked in various states, including Colorado, Wyoming, California, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Montana and Kansas – taking on both GC and subcontractor positions. He holds professional certifications in CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), OSHA 500 Authorized Trainer 10 & 30 Hour, and Firefighter 1 New York.

Jim has worked on a wide range of projects, including healthcare, higher education, K-12 schools, advanced technology and process safety management, public/federal projects, restricted area projects, airport projects, high rise, ski resorts, commercial/office and mixed-use, cultural and residential/mixed-use, hospitality projects, and sports arenas/fields and events centers.

Outside of work, Jim is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. He's also got a heart of gold, and his people-first philosophy shines through in everything he does. As Jim says, "People over process!"
