Join us in Welcoming Jim Cosgrave to the Rusin Team
Rusin is proud to welcome our new Safety Director, Jim Cosgrave. Born in Albany, New York, Jim served as a 12B Combat Engineer E-4 Specialist in the US Army from 1990 to 1998 and served as a volunteer firefighter in New York and Colorado for six years.
Jim has over 22 years of experience in the safety resource industry for self-performed concrete trades and has worked in various states, including Colorado, Wyoming, California, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Montana and Kansas – taking on both GC and subcontractor positions. He holds professional certifications in CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), OSHA 500 Authorized Trainer 10 & 30 Hour, and Firefighter 1 New York.
Jim has worked on a wide range of projects, including healthcare, higher education, K-12 schools, advanced technology and process safety management, public/federal projects, restricted area projects, airport projects, high rise, ski resorts, commercial/office and mixed-use, cultural and residential/mixed-use, hospitality projects, and sports arenas/fields and events centers.
Outside of work, Jim is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. He's also got a heart of gold, and his people-first philosophy shines through in everything he does. As Jim says, "People over process!"
